Welcome to the 2021 hottest noodles of the year! We’re looking forward to going back to our list last year and see what the hottest noods are this year. Just a disclaimer we’re not trying to do it accurately according to the scoville heat unit amount, this is about our genuine experience at the time and even the aftermath.

#10 - Paldo Stirfried Noodle Spicy (Octopus Flavour)
So for my number 10 spot, after reviewing al the noodles I had to give it to Paldo Octopus. This was the second challenge I had ever done and it was the first challenge I ever COMPLETED! I got through it and needed milk after it and it wasn’t THAT hot compared to the original Samyang Hot Fire Chicken, it was definitely doable for me. #9 - Samyang Carbo Type Hot Carbonara Flavour
My number 9 spot, I gave it to Samyang Carbo. I was looking back and the Carbo was so strange, it was a creamy/spicy mess. It was kind of tasty but as I got through the Carbo I felt the creamy texture mixed in with the spice made it harder to complete in my opinion which is why I’m giving my number 9 spot to Carbo. #8 - Samyang Hot Fire Chicken Flavour
I put the Samyang Original, Hot Fire Chicken. I just think the original has got the recipe right because up until that point I hadn’t eaten anything this spicy in my life and at the age of 15 I was just blown away by how hot it was and it was just the spiciest thing I’d ever eaten ever. #7 - Samyang Stew Type Hot Chicken Flavour
My number 7 was Samyang Stew. Ignoring spice I really hated Samyang stew and in our previous Top 10 video I described this as very fragrant like a perfume and it was really spicy with a lot of broth to get through but I just found it horrible to get through and it gave me that sick belly eurghhh, t was too spicy and not nice to eat! #6 - Samyang Mala Type Hot Chicken Flavour
My number 6 spot goes to Samyang Mala. The interesting thing about the Mala was that sxechuan was quite popular at the time but I don’t think I had eaten anything that was so dry. It felt as if I was eating at a desert and all in all it made it really tough to get through with it’s bitterness and I really struggled with it. For full details on these spicy noodles, click here »
#5 - Daebak Ghost Pepper Spicy Chicken Black Noodles
My number 5, I have to give it to the Daebak million scoville ghost pepper cup. That was seriously hot. I managed to get through it! Which is unlike most of the challenges I’d done but that was seriously hot. I was mentally getting myself through it after experiencing eating a lot of spicy foods previously building myself up to it but then when it came to it, I was in real trouble and really bad stomach pain after with real trouble in the bathroom after! #4 - Samyang HEK nuclear 10x Hot Chicken Flavour
My number 4 funnily enough is the Samyang 10X. So like Josh’s mentioned, the thing that made Samyang 10x so hot was that it was the true sequel to the Samyang 2X and that was really hot but the 10X looked visually darker and you can see in the video after a couple of bites (even though I had some experience heating hot foods by then) I still needed to escape to the sink/toilet ha! #3 - Samyang Mini 12000shu Spicy Hot Chicken Flavour
My number 3 spot goes to (I call it 12,000 SHU) but yeah the Samyang Mini. Once again this was a sequel to the 10X and by then I hadn’t mastered anything but I had learnt the game a bit better, as when you’re going through the pain, you have to find your calming place and try and get through it but with this one I couldn’t. Josh mentioned it perfectly with it being a rocket. Sometime the spice doesn’t stop! For full details on these spicy noodles, click here »
#2 - 18+ prohibited curry ramen
For my silver medal – It’s taken a long time to toss up because there’s only ever 2 for me that can contend to this title and for my number 2 it’s got to be the 18+ prohibited ramen from Japan. It’s kind of unfair that these next two are in this list because they’re both so much away from these other noodles. The 18+ was the first noodles ever where I thought if I got through this, I’d be in danger. We were in fear of calling an ambulance or get someone in to check us out because this is where it start damaging your stomach lining and stuff like that and I remember drinking the broth and it was probably the hottest liquid I had ever consumed ever which was way beyond anything we’ve ever done…ever and I don’t think I’ve had a broth as spicy as that. #1 - Culley's World's Hottest Ramen
So my number 1 – Has to be the Culleys Carolina Reaper Ramen Noodles. They weren’t edible! They’re not made for human consumption down to how impossible they were to cook as they wouldn’t soften up per the instructions and the mash just filled the room with this hot bitter scent. The flavour was so strong and harsh. It just felt like someone got a bag of chillies, thrown in some vinegar and left it in the sun for a couple of months. It was just a hot spicy mess! Your body is so wanting to reject what you’re eating and this was just not for human beings to eat – so that’s got to be my gold medal! For full details on these spicy noodles, click here »

#10 - Samyang Hot Fire Chicken
My number 10, I’m going to go with the Samyang original hot fire chicken. It was our very first challenge video which we filmed at around 2 o’clock in the morning which is why (if you notice in the video) we kept our voices down. I found the noodles manageable but it took me by surprise with how hot these supermarket noodles actually were so that’s why my number 10 goes to the Samyang Hot Fire Chicken. #9 - Samyang Mala Type Hot Chicken Flavour
My number 9 is the Samyang Mala. Reason being is Mala means numbing spice and it was a very dry heat with the Szechuan pepper flakes in the noodles and the dryness and lack of flavour made it harder to get through these noodles as all I could taste was dry heat (if that’s even a taste) so it was just about getting through it and I didn’t really enjoy. Afterwards I could feel that my stomach wasn’t settled and had a little bit of indigestion so for me the number 9 spot goes to Samyang Mala. For full details on these spicy noodles, click here »
#8 - Daebak Ghost Pepper Spicy Chicken Black Noodles
I put the Daebak Ghost Chilli cup noodles. Reason why is because even though it was a smaller cup noodle and wasn’t a lot to eat but considering the amount that was in it, it really did pack a punch! And I reckon if it had the same volume as the other pack of noodles it could reach up to the top 5+ hot tier. For full details on these spicy noodles, click here »
#7 - Paldo Volcano spicy Chicken Noodle
My number 7 I’ll give that to the Paldo Volcano. I think also it ranks there because of what else we did for that challenge with the 5 minute afterburn and in the ‘heat of the moment’ we just decided to do this afterburn with some calming meditation music from alexa and I just remember Freddie banging on the table shouting and this was definitely my first panicky experience to try and get through this quickly. #6 - Samyang nuclear 2x Hot Chicken Flavour
For my number 6 I’m going to give it to the Samyang 2x. For me that was the first time I experienced something outside of mouth burn, watery eyes, dribbly nose (just the regular symptoms). Actually having the prickly ears or having the ringing sensation, that for me was something I had never experienced before so I knew at the time of filming the challenge, it was the spiciest thing that I had put myself through and I wasn’t sure how to deal with it. Oh and we also had 5 packs! For full details on these spicy noodles, click here »
#5 - Samyang HEK nuclear 10x Hot Chicken Flavour
My number 5 was the Samyang 10X. Now this was one that I didn’t finish but that was because we did 4 packs and I couldn’t do 4 packets of that heat so technically I attempted 40,000 SHU but I all I remember is trying to get through this and never seeing the bottom. We were eating this out of a wok pan it was soupy with the amount of sauce we put in and I was going through the motions and I was getting really bad indigestion. It was almost a form of torture and in general I felt that this was too much with 4 packs. For full details on these spicy noodles, click here »
#4 - Samyang Mini 12000shu Spicy Hot Chicken Flavour
My number 4 is the Samyang Mini (12,000 SHU). For me, we only had 1 packet but if there were some noodles that I’d describe as a pocket rocket and really explosive and if there was more volume to eat, I’d say this would’ve been a super tough one to eat and I was surprised how much heat came out of such little packaging! #3 - Samyang 3X Spicy Hot Chicken Flavour
Right bronze medal! – I’m going to give this to the Samyang 3X (three times spicier than the original) at 13,000+ SHU and that was hot! I don’t think I could do 2 packets of these and that was the first challenge that I’d done where I felt that I just scraped through it. If it was any hotter, I’d probably be taking my time and breathing a lot heavier but definitely 1 packet of these were enough for me to handle and I was a lot more quiet eating these as I knew it was business time!
#2 - Culley's World's Hottest Ramen
My silver medal will go to the Culley’s Carolina Reaper Ramen for me! Reason why (and I know there’s this thing about it legitimately being 1.6 millionSHU) and if it was the same volume as the 18+ would it be way hotter? – I am only judging by what I’m eating at the time! First of all the noodles were horribly instructed. The amount of water they told you to add wasn’t enough and after microwaving the noodles, it still felt undercooked which wasn’t pleasant to eat. But I will say that CHILLI MASH! When we pierced it, it scented the room and even with the rematch I thought I could do it but it was still really hot! #1 - 18+ prohibited curry ramen
My gold spot for 2021 is the 18+ prohibited noodles. So yeah these top 2 are leaps and bounds beyond the rest of the list which isn’t fair but one thing about this 18+ as a challenge. It was really soupy, 700ml as per the instructions per bowl! So for 2 we put 1400 ml of broth and then as we took the first bite, that liquid stung my throat and as we went through this challenge, it was the first time I was thinking, if we were to continue, we’d need to call an ambulance, it was just getting hotter, and hotter, and hotter. And it felt like someone was pinching my heart, struggling to breathe and the thing that scared me the most was it felt like my throat was closing This was too much for me and I wouldn’t even rematch this!
