This was the first Buldak Bokkeummyun we'd ever ordered from Paldo, and would not be the last! Paldo was created by the Yakult company, diversifying from yogurt into Noodles, in business since 1983. Being one of the most popular brands - along with Samyang - we knew we'd have to try them as soon as possible, and that's probably why the Paldo Octopus Ramen was the second challenge ever posted to our channel! As we delved into the noodle packet, the following contents contained:
As expected of this sort of challenge, they were indeed very spicy, similar in spiciness to the Samyang Chicken Buldak Bokkeummyun, carrying a similar sweetness and meatiness. Amazingly, it was also the first challenge I finished! A monumental moment in F&J history to be sure.

I found these noodles to be really delicious, even though the spice level was immense. I'd learnt a lot from the previous challenge, and had prepared myself for the task ahead. It carried a nice sweetness that offset the spice slightly, and it was just a joy to eat, and a joy to finish, first bite to last, though I'd definitely employ the ancient bread-eating technique more often after eating them.
I agree with Freddie on this one, really delicious - the right level of sweetness as well. Only disappointment I had was that there was no octopus pieces in the sachet which I was expecting but it turns out that they used octopus extract in the sauce so all's forgiven! I would says this challenge was not as hard as the Samyang Hot Chicken but definitely packs a punch. I'd personally eat this for fun.
